Mandrare River Camp
As the sun rises over rugged mountains, fingers of orange light sparkle across the river to awaken the forest and camp within. The distant singing of the local tribe as they fetch water from the river, the morning calls of the Coucal and Crested Coua, welcome you to another glorious day on the banks of the Mandrare River.

Our seven luxury en‐suite tents are generously spread out in the shade of tamarind trees, all with breath‐taking views across the tranquil water to the sacred mountains beyond.

The seclusion of the camp affords intimate access and insight to the endemic spiny forest; home to an abundance of wildlife and the fascinating Antandroy tribe that co‐habit this arid and otherworldly landscape.

Manafiafy Beach & Rainforest Lodge
Sparkling blue seas, verdant rainforests, abundant wildlife, and distant mountains, this small and intimate lodge offers a taste of serenity to all of its guests. Laze around on the pristine beach or chose from the many activities available: whale watching, walks in the wildlife rich rainforest, snorkelling, deep see fishing, scenic trips to the mangroves, kayaking and visits to the local community.

Nestled into a forest cove, our five luxury thatched bungalows offer private decked terraces inches from the sea and panoramic glass windows for a magical view into the bay and forests.

The ebb and flow of the tide, the haggling of the local fisherman, the slow and unchanging life of the village, invites you to leave your stresses and strains behind. Sink into your hammock and feel yourself descend into this quiet corner of paradise.

Environmentally and Socially Friendly
All of the wildlife activities we offer are based in community managed forests, thus providing our neighbours with a reliable income for protecting their natural heritage. In our desire to support our host communities, we hire and train the majority of our staff locally. Our aim is to showcase local culture and provide our guests with an authentic, memorable experience.

Manafiafy Lodge meets all of its electricity needs through 100% solar electricity, in Mandrare Camp all guest rooms are 100% solar and we have a small generator for pumping water. We also have tree planting projects and ensure that our environmental impact is always kept at an absolute minimum. We have built schools and classrooms, provided electricity for health centres and maternity clinics, as well as helping with educational supplies such as school satchels, pens and exercise books.
